Margaret Ellen Talbert, age 101, passed away March 15, 2017. She resided at the St. Paul's Archbishop Leibold Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, in Clifton. Margaret was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, May 13, 1915. She was the daughter of Margaret Stockwell Talbert (an accomplished poet) and Dr. Ernest Lynn Talbert, professor of Sociology at the University of Cincinnati from 1906 to 1949. Talbert House was named in Dr. Talbert's honor in 1963. Margaret had many interests. She was knowledgeable about, and active in pursuing the genealogy of her family. She traveled many times during her life to research ancestors in Indiana, Kentucky and Pennsylvania, reaching out to other distant relatives. She loved reading. She had a very strong faith and was an active member at Annunciation Church in Clifton for over 45 years where she had many dear friends. Visitation Monday 10:30 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM at Annunciation Church, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the League for Animal Welfare, Talbert House or charity of choice. Arrangements were made through Vitt, Stermer and Anderson Funeral Home.
