Axl Thomas Heltman went to his forever home on Tuesday, May 31 at the age of 12. He was a warrior of light who fought a battle with epilepsy for six years up until his final day. He dreamed of being a co-pilot and enjoyed vacations with family to the beach where he could drive a boat and feed the seagulls. He lived a beautiful life and shared his joy and loving heart with so many family and friends. Memories of his quick wit, humorous bits of wisdom and silly nicknames he had given to his sister and the beloved birds he loved feeding will live on in their hearts forever. The name Axl means "Prince of Peace". The loss his loved ones feel is great but they know his tremendous spirit is still with them and he is spreading peace from above.
Axl is the beloved son of David and Jill Heltman, a loving brother of Matt, Olivia, Kirby and Layla, cherished grandson of Tom and Nancy Ward and the late Joan and Arthur Heltman, nephew of Thomas Heltman, Barbara Barton, Joe Heltman, Adam (Kristy) Ward, Holly (Rick) Finn, Joy (Chad) Via and the late Mary Susanne Willis, cousin of Morgan, Trip, Elizabeth, Corey, Hannah, Brandon, Olivia, Leah, Macy, Elli, Khloe, Amani and Zion and also many friends.
