Betty J. Lanzarotto, fondly known as “Grandma Baby,” passed away on October 12, 2024 at the age of 91 in Harrison, Ohio. Born on December 4, 1932, in Cincinnati, she dedicated her life to her family and community, exemplifying a spirit of unwavering love and support.

Betty's career was one marked by her profound commitment to her community, particularly her cherished Anderson Ferry Church of Christ Family. Throughout her life, she was known for her ability to help others, reflecting her character as a devoted child of God. Betty enjoyed many fulfilling years working at Adams Plastic, where she dedicated an impressive 30 years and never missed a day of work—a testament to her remarkable work ethic.

She is survived by her loving family: her grandchildren Shannon Strunk, John F. (Elizabeth) Strunk, and Sonya Strunk; her great-grandchildren Chelsea, Bobbie, Jaiden, Kyle, Ke'Shawn, Avery, and Mackenzie; and her great-great-grandchildren Davon, Alleah, Allonna, and Trevon. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Pierce, and her dear close friends, Cindy Sulken, Audrey Strunk, Ms. Yeggie, Miriam, Marlene, Dawn as well as all the other people who considered her their GRANDMA.  

Betty will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. The memories she crafted are cherished by those she loved. From her beloved homemade lasagna and chili to the delightful stories of her youth, Betty's laughter and love filled the hearts and homes of her family. She had a knack for fixing hair with bobby pins, always ensuring a perfect look when getting ready for church on Sundays, where she would apply her favorite red lipstick.

Her walks around Duebber Drive were a source of joy, as was taking her grandchildren to the Rapid Run soccer fields—a mark of her deep affection for family activities. Betty's love for television shows such as Bonanza, Golden Girls, and General Hospital provided her with moments of entertainment and stories to share. She was also a fan of Wheel of Fortune, displaying her impressive ability to decode puzzles.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, the late Frank Lanzarotto, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage, as well as her previous husband, Norman Strunk. She was the beloved mother of Norman "Pete" Strunk and John M. Strunk. Her memory will also be honored by her late siblings, Francis Sammons, Robert "Bud" Wheeler, and Don Wheeler, as well as her beloved parents, Boyd and Bertha Wheeler.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on October 21, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, followed by the funeral service at 11:30 AM, and concluding with a burial at St. Joseph New Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
