Bruce C. Goins

Bruce is the beloved husband of Judy Goins (nee Wilkey), a loving father of Bruce J. (Lesli), Brian, Lauren, Mike (Kelley) Goins, proud grandfather of Sydney, Drew, Kyle, Brady, Taylor, Anna and Chase, brother of Gary (Betsy) and Arlene Goins, son to the late George and Florence Goins, he is also survived by brothers/sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.



Bruce was very proud to be a member of the state baseball championship team the year he graduated Elder High School in 1958. He served as a Russian interpretor in the United States Air Force between 1959 to 1963. During that time, he continued playing baseball for the Air Force traveling through Europe. In 1964, he became a Cincinnati Firefighter; eventually retiring as a District Chief in 1995. He loved playing softball for the firefighters for many years and gained lifelong friends. Bruce married his sweetheart Judy in February 1965 and they had 4 children between May 1966 and May 1970. Recently, he enjoyed golfing and watching his grandchildren play sports.
