GROME, Carl W. Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Katherine "Kay" Mossman Grome. Loving father of Joseph C. (Amy) Grome, Marianne (Tom) Moorman, Kathleen (late Scott) Dannemiller, Thomas G. (Wendy), Carl Jr. (Nann) Grome. Grandfather of Ben, Nick, Katrina; Emily, Alex;Henry, Simon; Kayla, and Emma. Brother of Louis (Del) Grome, Elvira (Bob) Sweeney, Ralph (Carol), James (Pauline) Grome, Late Harold (Juanita) Grome. Saturday July 17, 2004 at the age of 78 years.A veteran of WWII and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service in the Pacific Rim. He was employed for 60 years by E.C. Shaw Co. and was president and co - owner from 1956 to 1999. Carl and his wife Kay were active members of St. Dominic Parish for 50 Years. Together they enjoyed square/round dancing, and geneology. They were members of Delhi & Kenton County Historical Societies. He will be forever remembered for his gentle, caring, steady nature and his humble quiet strength.
