Carole Jeannine Chapman

Carole Jeannine Chapman, nee Maine, was born in 1931, in Lorain, Ohio.  There she graduated from Lorain High School and met her husband, James H. Chapman.  Married in 1949, they moved to Cincinnati in 1952.  Together they raised 2 sons and 2 daughters.  Temporary transfers took them to Memphis, Little Rock, Augusta, and St. Louis, but Cincinnati was always home. Reading was her favorite pastime.  She was a good cook.  No one fried better eggs! After Jim retired they spent winters in their RV visiting family in Florida and Texas.  They traveled North America and abroad, but she preferred being with family.  Family was the focus of Carole’s life.  She is survived by Candice and Thomas Hennessy of Florida, James and Peggy Chapman of Indiana, Linda Fox of Cincinnati, and Barry and Lynn Chapman of Texas.  She had 15 grandchildren, and 31great-grandchildren.  And they all knew they had better mind her!  She passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 surrounded by her family.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 11, from 11:30 to 2:00, at Vitt Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Pike.  Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 341 Erkenbrecher Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.  www.vittstermeranderson.com
