It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clare Lee Gierse (McNeeve), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Clare peacefully left us on July 6, 2024, at the age of 78.
Clare was the devoted wife of the late Leo Gierse, who she will now join in eternal rest. She was a dear sister to the late Mary Proud, Arthur McNeeve, and Freda McNeeve.
Clare’s legacy is carried on by her loving children, Lori (James) Boeh and Bryan (Diana) Gierse. She was a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren: Briana (Christopher) Fry, Taylor Boeh, Brenden Boeh, Kevin Boeh, Jasmin Gonzalez, Hailey Gierse, Addison Gierse, and Mikha'el Gierse. Clare also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Abigail Fry and Lucas Fry.
A proud graduate of Norwood High School, Clare dedicated over 50 years of her life to raising and supporting her family. She was known for her fierce loyalty, extreme kindness, generosity, and an infectious laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. Clare's dedication extended beyond her family as she coached her daughter’s soccer team and worked in the cafeteria at Elder High School, where her son attended.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 25th at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. from 11AM until time of funeral blessing at 1PM.
Clare will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at the New St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 4500 Foley Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Clare's name to a charity of your choice, celebrating her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
