beloved husband of 71 years to Jaclyn Kahny (nee Hix), loving father of Mark (Donna) Kahny, Donald (Lisa) Kahny Jr., Lisa (Len) Slye, Sheila (Gerry) Wolfer and Christina (Ed) Cain, cherished grandfather of Adam (Laura), Jacob, Brett (Erin), Tony (Liz), Aaron, Brian (Corinne), Meghan, Mandy (Nick), Lauren (Alex), Allison, Dustin (Kelly), Zack (Maria), Johanna, Ben (Colby) and Chloe (Ian), step-grandfather of Alesha (Scott), great-grandfather of Cheyenne, Jackson, Landen, Elliot, Caden, Dakota, Payten, Sammy, Joshua, Charlotte, Presley, Dax, Raelyn, Jude, Everett, Nora, Miles, Hunter, Sophia, Rhett, Mackenzie and Crosley, step-great-grandfather of Owen and Jessica (Josh), step-great-great-grandfather of Micheal, Isaiah, Asher and Rebekah, brother of the late Stan, Ray, Charlie, George Jr., Bob, William, and Barry Kahny, Dot Heitzman, Eleanor Grothaus, Norma Enginger, many nieces and nephews.

He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at age 94. Visitation Tuesday, February 7th from 5-8 PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd.  Funeral Mass February 8th at 10 AM at St. Dominic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Education Fund.
