Dorothy Campbell

August 20, 1930 — October 12, 2012

Dottie is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Al; four children, Kathy Cappy, Louisville; David (Haylene), Ashland, OR; Betsy (Mark) Phillips, Cincinnati; and Nancy (Jeff) Jensen, St. Louis; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara.

Dottie was a stay at home mom before the term was invented. She loved and was gifted in that profession. She was a gracious hostess to their extended family and worldwide friends while living in Virginia, Chicago, New Jersey, Germany, Cincinnati and at the family cottage at Lake Wawasee in northern Indiana. Outside the house Dottie was a Deacon and Elder at Northminster Presbyterian Church; secretary and longtime discussion leader at BSF (Bible Study Fellowship); and she was a longtime tour guide and then the leader of tour guides at the Cincinnati Zoo.

She graduated from Purdue University and before marriage taught at Broad Ripple High School, Indianapolis.
