Elizabeth (Betty) R. Nortmann (nee Buening) Beloved wife of the late Carl J. Nortmann, loving mother of Greg (Joyce), Nancy, Beth (Tom) Nare, Chuck (Mary Ann), John (Trish), Ken (Diane).
Cherished and fun-loving Grams of Joanna Nortmann, Katherine Legge (Jeremy), Kevin Nare (Kayla), Jonathan Nortmann, Lucas Nare, Matthew Nortmann, Eric Nortmann, Daniel Nortmann, Nicholas Nortmann, Adam Nortmann, and Great-Grams to Bella and Liam Nare. Survived by devoted brothers, Rev. Robert Buening, Thomas Buening, sister-in-law Helen Buening, and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by sister Wilma (Cyril) Peaker, and brothers Jack and Gerard Buening. Peacefully welcomed Home October 14th. Visitation Monday, October 20th, 4-8pm at Elder High School, Schaeper Center, 4050 Glenway Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45205. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, October 21st , 10am at St. Dominic Church, 4551 Delhi Rd Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. Visitation in Gathering Space prior to Mass, 9am-10am. Betty was a 60-year member of St. Dominic parish, and actively involved in many church activities. Betty was instrumental in having sidewalks installed on Mt. Alverno Rd. for the safety of the children walking to school. She loved volunteering with Seton-Elder Series-at-Eight, and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. She was proud to be a Seton Alumni.
Betty also loved to travel. Her greatest love, though, was being involved in any aspect of her children's and grandkids' activities and hosting memory-making sleepovers for grandkids.
