Evelyn Kovach

Kovach Evelyn Engle, beloved wife of Karl Kovach for 60 yrs. Loving mother of Kandy (Steve) Schreiner of Charlotte, NC. Devoted Grammy of Kellee (Robert) McGahey of Charleston, SC, Christopher Schreiner of Charleston, SC and Kimberlee Schreiner of Los Angeles, CA. Passed away November 19, 2011 at the age of 91 after a short illness. Evelyn was a remarkable lady and friend to many. Her imaginative and creative spirit was an inspiration to all. She used her artistic talents throughout her extensive involvement with Garden Club endeavors. She was a charter member of Wyoming Heights Garden Club, a Master Flower Show Judge and active member of Judges Study. She served Garden Club of Ohio, Inc. as Cincinnati District Director, Flower Show School Chairman and recipient of Mildred Heter Buckingham award "For Outstanding Service". She served on the board of National Garden Clubs, Inc. and "Visions of Beauty" Calendar selection committee. As a design instructor for National Garden Clubs, Inc., she taught Flower Show Schools and Symposiums across the USA and Lima, Peru. She was a generous encouraging mentor to many aspiring arrangers.
