Francis A. Boerger, affectionately known as Frank, passed away on August 18, 2024 at West Park Nursing in Cincinnati. Born on January 17, 1933, in Cincinnati, Frank lived a life rich with purpose and service, exemplified by his dedication to family, work, and community.

A proud veteran, Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean War, experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a deep sense of duty. Following his service, he took up a career as a printer at Queensgate Press, where his attention to detail and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Frank's commitment extended beyond his professional life; it encompassed his family and interests that brought him joy. He was the devoted father of Karen (Michael) Schachleiter, Debbie (Chuck) Meyer, Bob Boerger, Diane (Dave) Helmers, Mary (Andy) Menninger, and Jeni (John Paul) Case. Frank took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to ten grandchildren and a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment shared with them.

An avid sports enthusiast, Frank could often be found bowling or playing softball, reveling in the joy of watching his children play sports, and passionately supporting local teams such as the Cincinnati Reds, UC Basketball, and the Cincinnati Bengals. His love for these activities illustrated his vibrant spirit and connection to the Cincinnati community he cherished.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Hayhow Boerger, and his brother, John Boerger. Their memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on August 22, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Church (Gathering Space), located at 4551 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238. This will be followed by a Mass from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Frank will then be laid to rest during a graveside service at St. Joseph Cincinnati Catholic Cemetery, 3819 West 8th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45205, starting at 11:15 a.m.

Frank Boerger will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family and friends, his passion for life, and his enduring legacy of love and service. He touched the lives of many, and his memory will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
