Ida Marie Blackburn

Blackburn Ida Marie (nee Seitz) was born November 21, 1916 and passed away September 30, 2010 at age 93. Mrs. Blackburn was raised in Delhi, graduated from Western Hills High School and attended the University of Cincinnati, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She taught Head Start at Washburn Elementary School in Cincinnati for many years. A charter member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Blackburn was also a member of the Wyoming Women's Club, as well as the Wyoming Music and Garden clubs. Mrs. Blackburn is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Fred T. Yeager and her second husband, Alex J. Blackburn whom she married in 1994. Also preceding her are sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Dale Wolfe of Seabrook, Texas. Mrs. Blackburn leaves three children, Lois (Gerald) Von Bargen of Savannah, GA, Thomas Yeager (Bonnie) of West Chester, OH and Ted Yeager (Linda) of Largo, FL. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Monday 1PM at Twin Towers 5354 Hamilton Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the charity of choice.
