Carr James P., beloved husband of the late Ruth E. (nee Vogele) Carr, loving father of James (Jane) Carr, Terence (Jennifer) Carr and Dennis (Janet) Carr, dear grandfather of Shannon, Casey (Angela), Peter, Courtney, Sarah Carr and great-grandfather of James, Andrew and Caroline Carr. Brother of Jack Carr, Claire DiPilla and the late Thomas and Robert Carr. Passed away Tuesday June 21, 2011. Age 86. Graduate of Newport Catholic High School, veteran of the Battle of the Bulge with 249th Combat Engineers, employed for 38 years with Mutual Mfg. and Supply, avid golfer, bowler, and baseball player and fan, former commander of VFW post in Southgate, member of St. Dominic parish for 53 years, friend of every coworker, supplier, customer, competitor, neighbor, parishioner, army comrade he ever met. Friends may call at the Vitt, Stermer and Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. Sunday 4-7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10AM at St. Dominic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Dominic Education Fund will be appreciated.
