James Piccola Jr.

James "Pudge" Piccola Jr., a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on March 3, 1936, Pudge dedicated over 40 years of his professional life to General Motors, where his commitment and work ethic were deeply respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Pudge embodied an infectious spirit, known for his engaging personality and love for social connections. He was an avid sports fan, particularly devoted to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds, often seen cheering passionately for his teams. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he found great joy in attending church. Following his retirement, Pudge continued to embody his generous nature by helping others, often taking people around and offering his assistance to those in need.

Pudge proudly served in the Army as part of the Airborne division, a commitment that showcased his bravery and dedication to his country.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his four children: Jennifer Piccola, Judith Piccola, Michael Piccola, and Eileen Piccola. He treasured his role as a grandfather to Heather (Kyle) Ellis, Matthew Hodges, Olivia Piccola, and Jordan Martin, and he embraced the joy of being a great-grandfather to Eli, Faith, and Grace. Pudge is also survived by his brother, Ronnie (late Mary) Piccola.

James was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Jeannine Young and Maureen Schaffield.

The legacy of James "Pudge" Piccola will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His warm spirit, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
