John H. Lakeberg

John H. "Jack" Lakeberg, born on January 22, 1936, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy tenderly shaped through his love of woodworking, an appreciation for trains, dedication to yard work, and a profound devotion to his Catholic faith. Jack found serenity in nature, embracing its beauty with every opportunity he had.

As a father, grandfather and great grandfather, Jack was cherished by his living family members, including his children Pam (Ken) Hilvert, Kim (Rich) Martin, , and Chris (Jennifer) Lakeberg. He was a proud grandfather to Brandon (Leila), Nicole, Krista, Chelsea, Joshua, and Kirk. Furthermore, he adored being a great-grandfather to Genevieve Rose, Aristeia Zoe, and Leon Webb. He also valued the companionship of his daughter-in-law, Alice.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley, whose memory he carried in his heart. He was also the father of Kathleen and John, both of whom have passed. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Aileen (Paul), Joyce (Rolf), and Mary (Charles "Bud").

Jack's life will be celebrated with visitation on Wednesday, October 9th from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila, 1175 Overlook Ave. (45238).  Memorials may be made to St. Teresa of Avila.

The kind spirit and skilled hands of Jack will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His contributions, both in craftsmanship and nurturing his family, will continue to resonate in the lives of those he touched.
