Judith G. Benvie (nee Nusekabel)
Judy, born on January 1, 1939, passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Lee Benvie, her devoted children, Brian Benvie (Julie Benvie) and Elizabeth Boston (Jim Boston), and her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Feist (Luke Feist), Jordanne Boston, Erik Benvie, and great-grandchild Arlee Feist.
Judy's unwavering devotion to her family was her life's purpose. Family always came first, and her selfless nature, even in death, reflected her love for her family. Her patience, strength, and supportive nature endeared her to all who knew her. She was not only a matriarch, but also a best friend, imparting invaluable lessons about life and self-discovery. Her kindness, humility, and fierce protection of her loved ones reflected the depth of her character.
A 1957 graduate of Regina High School, Judy finished her professional career with 5/3 Bank, retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed cooking and took pride in every dish she prepared. Her elegance and "fancy" flair extended beyond the kitchen-she always dressed her best, with her big “sparkly” sunglasses and lipstick perfectly applied. She was an avid shopper, who also enjoyed the occasional trip to the local casino.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Old Saint Mary’s Church in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in Judy’s name, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
May Judy's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her love continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were touched by her grace.
“Love you, Judy.”
