Lauren Rentz, age 34, passed away on July 23, 2022, her sweet dog Gus by her side. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She adopted and cared for several rescues throughout her life. Her current loves were Dutch Shepherds, Lamont and Gus.
Lauren was the beautiful daughter of Karen and Bob Rentz. They were a very close family. In just the last few weeks of her life she helped them to begin planning their next trips, baking and decorating cutout cookies for her cousin’s baby shower with Karen and shared her excitement about having her own children in the near future. She had already planned another trip to Europe over the Thanksgiving holiday and joked with her dad about missing his birthday. Lauren accepted all of the daily challenges that life threw her way with grace.
Lauren was an amazing asset to her father’s business, Rentz Management, and excelled at her position there. She began working there on and off learning the business during college and over the last several years grew into and excelled at her position there as Office and Property Manager. The business has grown since she took over the role. Her parents were very proud of her accomplishments in their family business. Lauren was very well liked by the clientele and handled issues with compassion, intelligence and diplomacy. She was well loved by both the contractors and customers alike.
As a young girl Lauren was interested in the creative arts. She started dancing at age 3 and continued dancing through Grade School. She performed with the Cincinnati Ballet in the Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Snow White and other performances. Before giving up dance, Lauren took up playing the violin and performed in many places. During the holidays she performed at the Aronoff Gallery, Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, as well as retirement homes just to name a few. She was a violinist in the St. Ursula Orchestra throughout High School. She took every interesting art class she could at the Baker-Hunt Art and Cultural Center where she found her love for photography. Her passion for photography took her to college at Indiana University and then into the DAAP program at University of Cincinnati. Between her transfer from IU to UC she spent the summer in the Au Pair Program traveling to Istanbul, Turkey. As an Au Pair she spent her time caring for a young boy and teaching him English while his parents were at work. While there she fell in love with the Turkish people, their country and returned a few years later to work with another family.
Lauren enjoyed life, loved travel, and time spent with her friends and family. She will be lovingly missed by everyone that knew her.
Lauren leaves behind a husband; Klint Yearout, her parents; Bob and Karen Rentz, loving aunts and uncles; Joyce (Rick) Lockwood, Tom (Donna) Rentz, Ed (Oui) Rentz, Rick Rentz, Susan (Keith) Oldfield, Carolyn and the late Steve Rentz, Roger Rentz, Carol (Gerry) Heoper. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Eupha Rentz Sr. and Jerry and Melva Pfaffinger. A daughter-in-law of Mike and Mur Yearout and also a cousin and friend to many.
