Lois R. Groh, a beloved matriarch and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on February 16, 1932, Lois was known for her vibrant spirit and warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her.
A respected realtor, Lois made significant contributions to her community through her profession. Her hard work and expertise in the field were recognized when she won a trip to Hawaii for her outstanding sales performance. Lois was not only successful in her career but also took great pride in fostering connections and nurturing relationships with her clients and colleagues alike.
Lois had a lively personality and enjoyed a variety of activities. She was an avid churchgoer, finding joy and community through her faith. She loved to play cards, share family dinners and gatherings, and was known for her exceptional cooking skills. Her passion for life extended to her love for animals, particularly dogs and cats, and she found great pleasure in watching the show "Heartland." Additionally, Lois was a fan of sports, especially basketball, and took joy in cheering for her favorite teams. Her zest for life was particularly evident in her dedication to her family; she treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will carry with them forever.
Lois is survived by her children, William E. (Susan) Groh, Daniel (Jeannine) Groh, Vicki (Jerry) Patton, Jeffrey Groh, and James (Connie) Groh. She was a proud grandmother to Robert Bucher, Pamela (Andrew) Sweat, Maria (James) Jagoditz, Katelyn (Fearghal) Reid, Connor (Mikhaela) Groh, Daniel Groh, Jr., and Angelique Groh. Her legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren, Holly Brinck, Scarlett, Jayce and Cole Jagoditz, Leyton, Noah and Collins Sweat, Aedan and Odran Reid.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William G. Groh, and her sister, Joan McGowan.
Visitation services will be held at St. Teresa of Avila located at 1175 Overlook Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238 on March 13, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM. Memorials may be made in her name to Cincinnati Animal Care.
Lois Groh will be remembered with love and affection by all whose lives she touched. Her enduring spirit and devotion to her family serve as an example of true love and strength.
