Margaret Franzen "Peggy" (nee Bastin)

Peggy was born on September 26, 1941 to the late Ben and Margaret Bastin. She was born and raised in Newport, Kentucky and graduated from Newport High School in 1960. She was a loan supervisor at Sharefax Credit Union for over 35 years until her retirement in 2007. Peggy was a single mother devoted to raising her three daughters and providing them with a safe and loving home in which they could thrive. She was always there to offer support and guidance to her family and all of those around her. She was a loving mother to Julie (Brian) Freeman, Vivian (Charlie) Hardtke and Diana Hericks. Cherished grandmother of Lindsey (Matt) Daria, Sarah (Timmy) Crofford, Benjamin (Gabby) Freeman, Olivia (John) Brillhart, Jessyca Hericks, Rachel Hardtke, Elizabeth Hericks and Sophia Hericks. Great grandmother to Claire, Avery, Stephen, Layla, Melanie, Gwendolyn, Owen, Grace and Rayna; dear sister of Sally Crutcher, and aunt to Mike and Carrie Crutcher.  Peggy passed away peacefully on April 20th after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26th at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Pike from 11AM until time of service at 1 PM.
