Margaret I. Rabong "Midge", born on September 26, 1936, in the vibrant city of Cincinnati, departed this earthly realm on January 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her life, marked by joy and dedication, will forever be honored by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A proud graduate of Seton High School, class of 1955, Margaret embraced the world with an enthusiasm that endeared her to friends and family alike. She dedicated herself to nurturing the bonds of family, famously hosting lively Christmas parties and neighborhood gatherings on her beloved front porch. These joyful occasions were a testament to her generous spirit and her relentless desire to bring people together in celebration.
Margaret found solace and joy in the great outdoors, often retreating to North Bend, Ohio, where she loved to camp. In her leisure, she delighted in the company of friends at the casino, relished the thrill of bingo, and enjoyed the camaraderie of playing cards. Creativity flowed through her as she dedicated time to crafting, creating items that brought smiles to the faces of those she loved.
As a devoted mother, one of her proudest accomplishments was raising her son, Kevin (Debbie) Rabong. Her nurturing nature extended further as she embraced her role as a step-grandmother to Nicole (Michael) Darrow, and step-great grandmother to Charlotte and Mark Darrow. She also took great joy in being an aunt to many nieces and nephews, each of whom carries the warmth of her love and teachings.
Margaret was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Nick Rabong, her dear parents, Bart and Edna Mahon, her beloved siblings, Bart Mahon, Ginny Vitkow, and Bob Mahon, as well as her step-grandchildren, Chad and Jeffrey Human. Though they have passed on, their memories live brightly in all who remain.
