Margaret Schumacher
Margaret was born on December 12, 1951 in Middletown, Ohio, to the late Stephen & Beatrice Takach. She graduated from Fenwick High School in 1970, and from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing with an RN in 1972. She was a devoted and caring nurse for over 25 years, with most of her nursing career spent at Christ Hospital.
Her hands were rarely still, despite her mounting physical limitations over the years. Marge was an excellent baker, seamstress, and crafter, excelling at almost every skill she learned. She was passionate about flowers, and believed that if you planted and watered with love, they would thrive, and hers always did. She also loved entertaining. She knew how to have fun, show support, patience, grace, resilience, and she knew how to love.
Marge is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Paul Schumacher, her two children, Philip (Amy Jo) Schumacher, and Jill (Tad) Timon. She was immensely proud of her beautiful grandchildren, who were a bright shining light in her life; she leaves behind Kira & Leah Schumacher, and Anna & Henry Timon, along with several step-grandchildren.
In addition, she also leaves behind brothers Joe (Judy) Takach and David Takach, and in-laws Mark (Kathy) Schumacher, Chris (Denis) Behm, Sue (Ron) Frazier, Andy (Jennifer) Schumacher.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jim Takach, and his wife Karen, as well her in-laws, John & Dorothy Schumacher and brother-in-law Steve Schumacher.
Special thanks to Dr. Gaurav Khanna and Loving Hearts Hospice for their truly compassionate care of Margaret during her time of illness.
