Marty Morehead

February 16, 1954 — August 1, 2024

Marty T. Morehead, 70, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was born February 16,1954 to James and Mary Jane Morehead. His siblings Gayle (Rick) Cruz, Vence (Janey) Morehead, Vickie Morehead, Brian Morehead, and their families.

Marty fell in love with, and married Linda Morehead (nee Willenborg) June 29,1974, celebrating their 50th Anniversary in 2024. He was loved by his four children: Tracey (Brian) Hilvert, Susan-Beth (James) Morehead-Beard, James Morehead, and Michael Morehead; along with their wonderful grandchildren: Jarrett, Gwendolyn, Morgan and Olivia. In addition to his loving and caring in-laws, too numerous to count.

As wild as they may have been, Marty always loved sharing stories about his adventures in life. He adored playing baseball and coaching the kids. Marty’s love of music and cars has been passed on through the generations. He took pride in restoring his 1968 Camaro; the simple roar of the engine always made him smile. Construction was also a deep passion; he used it to build the home he shared with his loving wife, children and grandchildren.

Marty worked as an Iron Worker for many years and moved on to the City of Cincinnati Metropolitan Sewer District until retirement in September 2020. Through the years he also worked in construction, as a car mechanic and with his brother at Vence’s Place.

And if you knew him, you knew this to be true… “This is Bullshit” - Marty
