Mary Julia Mizelle
(nee Cottle) Beloved wife for 73 years to Lewe B. Mizelle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the age of 95. Mary was born on August 31,1927 in Montgomery, Alabama. Graduated from Auburn University and received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Loving mother to 3 children; Steve (Mazie), Susan Galloway (Tom) and Clay (Beth). Grandmother of nine and great grandmother of sixteen. Kindergarten teacher for 25 years in the Winton Woods/Forest Park School district.  Mary was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, Chapter Y PEO Sisterhood and The DAR. Active member since 1960 of Northminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon, Elder and Stephen Minster, MOPS, Buckhorn Stocking Committee, Sanctuary Care and Communion preparation. She volunteered at Valley Interfaith Food  and Clothing Center and Hoxworth Blood Center. A private family service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. Celebration of life memorial service will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Road, on Saturday, February 25th  11 AM followed by a reception.
