Mary Wissing, beloved wife of the late Edward Wissing, passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 90. Mary was born on May 20, 1934, and throughout her life, she found joy in the time she spent with her cherished family and friends.
Mary's kind and nurturing personality shone brightly through her devotion to her loved ones. She adored spending time with her family, whether in lively games of Kings in the Corner or relaxing moments playing Bridge with dear friends. One of Mary's favorite pastimes was sitting on her back deck, where she found solace in watching hummingbirds flit about while admiring the beauty of her blooming flowers. Her unwavering faith and deep-rooted values kept her grounded, making her a pillar within the St. Dominic Church community where she was a longtime member.
Mary is survived by her children Donna (Tom) Clontz, Tom (Melissa) Wissing, Steve Wissing, Jim (Karin) Wissing, Dave Wissing, and Juliann (Scott) Sheckler. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Tommy (Heather), Jeremy, Cristofer, Zach, Lauren, Nikki (Ryan-deceased), Brittany (Zach), Alex (Steve), Kevin (Brittany), Taylor (Nick), Addyson, Justin, Grant, Blake, Brooklyn and the late Erik and Victoria; great-grandchildren Hadley, Sophia, Grace, Ben, Walker, Bristol, Paige, Colbie, Nora, Micah, Scarlett, Sutton, Maci and the late Lucca.
She is preceded death by her sister Virginia Brosnan, as well as her brothers Aloysius, William and Jack Regensburger.
The services to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at St. Dominic Church, 4551 Delhi Rd. A visitation will take place from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Dominic Education Fund.
