Peter Alexander Soto III, affectionately known as Petey, was born on January 14, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. He passed away on August 26, 2024 in Cincinnati, leaving behind a legacy characterized by his creativity, kindness, and love for family.
A talented designer, Petey dedicated over 20 years of his career to Chiquita Banana, where his artistic flair and innovative mindset were showcased. His education at Art and Design High School laid the foundation for a career that merged his passion for art with a professional edge. Beyond his work, Peter was known for his infectious laughter and cheerful disposition, traits that endeared him to all who knew him.
He thoroughly enjoyed painting and sketching, often finding solace and joy in these artistic pursuits. A lover of active living, Petey also frequented the tennis courts, where his spirit was as lively as ever. His home was a haven for his nieces and nephew, who delighted in visiting their uncle’s abode, drawn by the abundance of toys and games that filled his space.
Peter took great pride in his role as an uncle, cherishing the connections he built with his family and friends. He is remembered with love by his brother Victor and John (Mary), as well as his beloved nieces and nephew: Yvette, Danny, Jenie, Nia, Joelle, and Christian. Additionally, he was a great uncle to Destinee, Isaiah, Ty, Dani, Evlin, and Antonia. His contributions extended beyond the family, as he was known for his generosity, giving to numerous charities throughout his life.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, the late Peter and Victoria, and his brother Joseph, whom he cherished deeply.
As we remember Peter, we celebrate a life filled with joy, creativity, and a deep love for his family, honoring the memories he created with all who were fortunate to know him.
