Phyllis was a homemaker, avid reader, loving mom and grandma. She attended Mother of God’s School and Notre Dame Academy. Her youth was spent playing with her siblings and her fun loving cousins, The Kloekers. She grew up in Covington, across the street from the Hellmann lumber yard, where her dad worked. Phyllis was a long time parishioner of St. Dominic where all her children attended. She enjoyed working in the school library, punching milk tickets and cleaning the church. Taking a daily walk around Delhi, gardening, attending mass and enjoying the birds in her backyard were some of her favorite hobbies. But, being with her children and grandchildren was what gave her the most joy. She absolutely loved children. When any child came to visit, she dropped what she was doing to play with them. Phyllis lived a simple life with contentment and joy.
