Reverend Richard L. Klug, (9/11/1926 to 6/15/2017) age 90, beloved son of the late Louis A. Sr. and Gertrude M. (Dewar) Klug; preceded in death by dear brothers Thomas and Louis A. Klug. Survived by sister-in-law Marilyn Klug, brothers, Robert J. (Joan) and Edward W. (Jean) Klug; devoted uncle of eighteen and caring great-uncle to numerous, devoted friend to Sr. Lawrence Sickman and Sr. Patricia Homan . He attended St. Gregory Seminary; and graduated from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome where he was ordained December 8, 1951. Celebrated his first Mass in the US on August 10, 1952 at St. Martin of Tours, where he attended grade school. While teaching at Elder HS he served at Holy Family, St. Clare, St. Aloysius Elmwood Place, and St. Ann Groesbeck. In 1967 he became administrator of St. Martin Parish, Chaplain at the Convent for the Brown County Ursulines and taught at Chatfield College. Appointed Pastor of St. Columbkille, Wilmington 1972-1974, St. Charles, Kettering, 1974-1986. Returned to Cincinnati as Pastor of Annunciation until he retired in 2005. He celebrated Mass and provided spiritual services for Mercy Health West Park thru 2015. In addition to his pastoral duties in 1968 he was appointed Synodal Judge for the Marriage Tribunal and served as Censor of Books for the Archdiocese for many years. Reception of the body will take place Friday 9 AM until Mass of Christian burial at 11AM at Annunciation Church, 325 Resor Ave. 45220.
