Beloved husband of the late Edith (nee Goodner), loving father of Gary (Rose) Clayton, Jo Ann (Henry) Clayton-Reyna and Barbara (Norman) Clayton-Lovitch, dear grandfather of Gregory and Sarah and great grandfather of Marcus, Collin and Garret, dear son of the late Albert B. and Della Dee Clayton.
Army WWII
Bob was a Deacon at Riverside United Methodist Church, a Boy Scout Troop Master-Troop 124, a 32nd Degree Mason with NC Harmony Lodge #2 F&AM, a member of the Syrian Shrine, Scottish Rite and United Commercial Travelers. He worked as a brakeman on the New York Central Railroad and retired letter carrier for the US Postal Service. He also loved to play Pinochle, Bridge, Canasta and Rummy with his friends and family. He loved dogs, he also enjoyed shooting pool, swimming and loved western movies. Most importantly, He was a man of his Word!
