Roland A. MacGregor, 96, passed away December 26 in Delhi. He was born in 1924 to William and Susan MacGregor. He served in WWII and the Korean War. A graduate of UC, he worked for Shillito’s for many years, but his favorite job was his post-retirement work at the Cincinnati Art Museum. He was an avid reader, a fervent admirer of Lincoln and Churchill, a faithful Episcopalian and devoted husband and father. A knowledgeable man, he knew much about many things and something about everything. He was proud of his Scottish heritage and wore it well.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 70 years, Jeanette Ciuccio MacGregor, his sons Andrew and Robert, daughter Susan and son-in-law James Huser, grandchildren Anne, Emma, Molly, Nick, William, Kelsey and Alexander. His son, Nicholas, preceded him in death.
A memorial will be held later. Memorials may be sent to Saint James Episcopal Church, 3207 Montana Avenue, in Cincinnati 45211.
