Ronald Kenneth Althaus (born January 11, 1944) made his transition from this life on July 11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy M Althaus (nee Ellis) and Raymond C. Althaus.
As his dear friend, (Laurie Althaus) he asked me to share with you that he is at peace. Ron loved his many pets in his lifetime, his favorite pet was Pixel, his cherished companion for the past 10 years. He was driven by his volunteer work with Hospice of Greater Cincinnati and The Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. He was an active member and volunteer at Toastmasters (Club #472).
He was honored to be a stepfather to Julie, Fran, and David Cooper. He loved watching them grow into young adults and supporting them in their personal endeavors.
When I asked others who were closest to Ron over his lifetime what they knew of him there was a consistent theme; He was, kind, gentle and caring, always showed a sincere interest in others, willing to be spontaneous yet always consistent and reliable. The thing that characterizes Ron is simply integrity. He didn't insist on it in others, but he did require it of himself. He was a private man with a kind soul who will be greatly missed.
Professionally, Ron was highly regarded in his field of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management in management and consulting roles. He served as an officer and trainer for APICS.
Ron's services will be private, however his favorite charities were American Cancer Society and Hospice of Greater Cincinnati. He asked that in lieu of flowers please donate to them.
