Rose Marie Dorsch

Rose Marie grew up in Fairmount and attended St Bonaventura Church and School. She graduated from Western Hills High School. She continued to live in Fairmount throughout much of her adult life, caring for her mother for a number of years, and working for AT&T in downtown Cincinnati. She had many friends, and travelled throughout the country on various trips, including a jaunt from Miami, Florida, to Havanna, Cuba at one point. She particularly enjoyed the Epcot Center in Disney World. She also made summer and Christmas holiday trips to visit her brother George in Wilmington, DE, for many years. When she retired from AT&T after 40+ years, she moved to Cheviot and pursued volunteer work with the Pioneers and at the Peddler Shop. While living in Cheviot she attended St Martin's Church. She lived in Cheviot until she moved to an apartment at West Park in 2003. She continued to participate in activities with her close friends, as well as some activities at West Park. As her health began to fail her, she moved into the long-term care section at West Park, where her sense of humor endeared her to the staff, up until her last days.
