Sharon Kay Davis

April 21, 1938 — August 18, 2024

Mt. Healthy

Sharon Kay Davis entered the world on April 21, 1938, 45 minutes ahead of her womb mate, William Jay, in Decatur, Indiana. They along with their sister, Constance Sue, were the children of William and Margaret Davis. Sharon grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she graduated from Southside High School. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisville. While studying for a Masters Degree in Christian Education, she met and married a young ministerial student, Tedrow Dingler. She left her studies to teach school. Sharon and Ted had two children, Laura and Tim. Sharon often made clothes for the whole family. Unfortunately for her children, it was the 70’s and she loved plaid! The couple later divorced and Ted died in 2019.

Sharon taught first and second grade for many years in the Fairfield, Ohio school district. She loved teaching children to read! She valued education and pushed her children and grandchildren to pursue their studies. Sharon was a lifelong Christian and most recently a decades long member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Finneytown, Ohio.

Sharon died on August 18, 2024, surrounded by family. Her twin brother and her parents were there to meet her in heaven. She is survived by her children: Laura(Dick) Jensen and Tim Dingler; grandchildren: Jacob(Emily) Jensen, Justin Jensen; and Maggie Dingler; sister, Connie(Marv) Pitcher; sister-in-law, Nancy Davis; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
