Stephen W. Stout Sr.

Stephen W. Stout Sr., 72, of Delhi Township, Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 24, 1950, in Lexington, KY, Steve was the 4th of 10 children. Along with his brothers, he began working at a young age for the family business, Stout Printing, handing out handbills. After graduating from Lexington Catholic High School, he served 4 years in the US Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base before becoming a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky.  After graduating, he moved his young family to Cincinnati, OH where he began his career at Arthur Young, one of the Big 8 Accounting Firms. He advanced in his career when he became Controller at Pabco Fluid Power Co.  He continued to work for the Coffaro family and after 45 years retired as CFO of BLC.
Steve loved spending time with his family, especially his 5 grandchildren.  He enjoyed traveling especially to the National Parks, Hawaii, Colorado and the Historic Baseball Stadiums.  He had a fearless spirit that led him on many adventures including hiking up the Grand Canyon and skydiving.
Preceded in death by his parents, H.H. “Shorty” and Sara Stout; his siblings, Pauline Stout, Mary Robinson and Roy Stout; and his son-in-law, Brian Spanyer. Steve is survived by his 3 children, Leslie (JR Robinson) Spanyer, Stephen (Carina) Stout Jr. and Kevin (Courtney Skidmore) Justice; his 5 grandchildren, Samuel and Jacob Spanyer, Stephen "Lucas", Joey and Jessie Stout; his former wife and friend, Michelle Stout and his long-time companion, Tina Justice; his siblings, Kathleen (Dennis) Crowley, Michael (Stephanie) Stout, Jerry (Peta) Stout, Jean Ellen Tackett, Jimmy (Colleen) Stout and Frances (Terrence) Stout; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at Vitt, Stermer and Anderson Funeral Home (4619 Delhi Pike) at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 pm with a reception immediately following at Shiloh United Methodist Church (John Wesley Hall) 5261 Foley Rd.
