Vera E. Franks

Vera E. Franks, born May 29, 1919, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family September 5, 2015. Vera will forever be cherished by her husband of 74 years, Robert W. Franks. She was the mother of three daughters, Patty (David) Harris of Colorado, Nan Franks and Jane ( Rick) Titus of the Cincinnati area. She was the dear grandmother of Gus Poneris (Tara), Hayley Picchini (Ryan), Beau Harris, Matt Titus (Homana), Jaime Richardson, Jacob Richardson and Kacy Titus. She was blessed also to have 3 great-grandchildren, Colin, Kristos and Kendall.
As a young woman, Vera worked as a secretary for the Andrew Jergens Company. Later after having her children she returned to work for more than 20 years as Secretary of Cottonwood Elementary School in Finneytown. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held, Wednesday, September 9 at 2PM at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. A Reception at the church will follow. Her wish is that in her memory donations be made to Northminster Church or the Robert W. Franks Center Parents Association which supports the Robert W. Franks Adult Center for Developmental Disabilities, 5884 Bridgetown Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45248.
