Wilbur E. Klosterman Jr.

Wilbur Edward Klosterman Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication and love. Born on September 30, 1941, Will lived a full life of dedication to his family. 

Will dedicated his career as a police officer with the City of Cincinnati Police Department and retired as a Captain. He was a respected member of the Fraternal Order of Police for 30 years where he fought for justice and served his community with honor. His colleagues admired him for his professional excellence and integrity that he brought to the job. He also showed his spirit of duty and commitment to his country by previously serving in the United States Army and also the Air Force Reserve.

Will was also a devoted family man, a role he cherished deeply. He is survived by his beloved wife, Florence Klosterman, who stood by his side through the highs and lows, their enduring partnership a testament to love and companionship. He is also survived by his two wonderful sons, Todd (Sandy) Klosterman and Ryan Klosterman, whose lives have been profoundly influenced by their father’s values of hard work and care for others. He was preceded in death by their infant son Jason Klosterman (1974).

As a grandfather, Will dearly loved his four grandchildren, Nicki, Ellie, Sami and Myles. Their time spent with him and a shared love for life will resonate within them forever. Will is mourned by his family, yet they take comfort in the cherished memories they created together. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Klosterman Sr., mother, Aline Flower and sister, Shirley Schwartz.

Family and friends are invited to honor Will’s memory at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.

Will leaves behind a family forever shaped by his unwavering love and his example of integrity and service. He will not be solely remembered through his achievements, but through the hearts he touched.
