William R. Zieverink

William R. Zieverink, was born on June 10, 1955 and passed away on January 29, 2025, leaving behind a deep devotion to family, friends, and country. 

A carpenter for over 40 years, Bill finished his career at the University of Cincinnati. His military service in the United States Navy from 1973-1981 included active duty on the USS Chicago.

Bill's education at Elder High School was highlighted by being a two-year starter on Elder’s wrestling team and a GCL Champion in his senior year, the class of 1973. 

An avid fisherman, Bill also had a passion for Xavier University sporting events and was a history buff with a particular interest in the Civil War. He enjoyed exploring his interests, often visiting local libraries to conduct research. He was a proud member of the Cheviot Fraternal Order of Eagles #2197 and he made many friends at neighborhood watering holes.

 Bill is survived by his loving siblings: Mary (Mark) Hosinski, Edward "Butch" (Mary Ann) Zieverink, Frank (Casey) Zieverink, Lorri Zieverink, James (Dawn) Zieverink, Robert (Julie) Zieverink, Veronica "Ronnie" (the late Bill) Houston, and Jeanne (Dan) Rohrmeier. He is also the proud step-son of Sarah Zieverink and a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, June and Ed Zieverink, and his siblings, Irene Schrauder and infant Joseph Zieverink.

 A visitation to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on February 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

 Bill will be remembered for his friendly spirit, and the relationships he cultivated throughout his lifetime.
